Daniil Kvyat: “It was definitely a very productive day”

Daniil Kvyat completed what he felt was his best day of testing so far on Thursday as the Scuderia Toro Rosso driver ran 94 laps of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in the STR12. The Russian set the fourth fastest time of the day in the process despite stopping on track early in the afternoon session, although it was not long before he was back circulating the circuit to rack up more laps. Kvyat felt it was important to get a significant amount of running in on his final day in the car before the Australian Grand Prix gets underway in two weeks time, and he feels they are in a much better position than they were last week. “I’m pleased with today,” said Kvyat. “It’s the first...
