Alonso: The driver is even less important

At the end of a problem packed first day of pre-season testing at Circuit de Catalunya, Fernando Alonso doubted that the new generation Formula 1 cars would be more challenging to drive, however he did hail the new look of the cars. Alonso told reporters in Barcelona, 'The importance of the driver percentage, when we talk sometimes of how much is the car and how much is the driver, with the technology we have now, with the aero packages we have now, with the power units we have now – I think the driver is even less important.'
