Mallya hits back at Abiteboul comments

– Force India co-owner Vijay Mallya has hit back at Renault's Cyril Abiteboul, after the Frenchman suggested lesser-resourced teams could struggle in 2017.Force India has been on an upward trajectory in recent years, the team finishing fourth in last year's standings, via two podium results, courtesy of Sergio Pérez.Renault, meanwhile, finished back in ninth position, as it struggled on its full-time return to the sport as a manufacturer, after taking over the cash-strapped Lotus squad.For 2017, new technical regulations will be introduced, spearheaded by overhauled aerodynamics and wider Pirelli tyres, with a significant development battle expected.Having targeted fifth in 2017,...
