– Mercedes Non-Executive Chairman Niki Lauda believes that Valtteri Bottas can be as fast as the driver he replaced, retired World Champion Nico Rosberg, when the 2017 season begins.Mercedes, following weeks of discussions with Williams, announced on Monday that it had signed Bottas as Lewis Hamilton's new team-mate, with Toto Wolff describing him as a "great fit" for the team.Hamilton won the 2014 and 2015 titles alongside Rosberg, but the German fought back in 2016 to clinch a maiden crown, before shocking the Formula 1 world by retiring with immediate effect.Lauda is confident that Bottas can adequately fill the void left by Rosberg."Bottas is the best man [for the...
