Button gets new power unit components for race

Jenson Button has had to have new power unit components fitted to his McLaren-Honda ahead of the German Grand Prix. The Briton, who qualified 12th after some troubled practice sessions, has had a new energy store and new control electronics fitted after qualifying. These are the fourth elements of the season, and it means both he and Fernando Alonso now have one full new power unit remaining for the rest of the campaign. The introduction of that final unit will likely depend on when Honda plans to introduce an upgrade, with it possible that developments could come for the Belgian Grand Prix.
