Ferrari runs updated halo at Silverstone

– Ferrari has conducted a brief demonstration with its revised head protection device, the halo, during the first free practice session for the British Grand Prix.Increased head protection has been a primary focus in Formula 1 safety across recent years, with the halo system backed over Red Bull's aeroscreen for 2017.Mercedes initially presented the idea and Ferrari, in conjunction with the FIA, produced a prototype which was trialled during pre-season testing in Barcelona.Ferrari's updated device, dubbed the 'halo 2', features structural tweaks, to further improve safety, and is also lighter in comparison to the original specification.Ferrari fitted the halo to the SF16-H during...
