Ricciardo to stay with Red Bull until 2018

Red Bull/Getty Images Daniel Ricciardo has formally confirmed that he will remain with Red Bull until at least the end of the 2018 Formula 1 campaign. Ricciardo was a member of the Red Bull junior squad and graduated to Formula 1 with HRT in 2011, before switching to Toro Rosso in 2012. Mark Webber's retirement opened up a vacancy at Red Bull and the team elected to promote Ricciardo; during his first campaign with the outfit he collected three wins and finished third in the standings. Ricciardo duly confirmed ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix that he has committed at least the next two years of his Formula 1 career to Red Bull, alongside Max Verstappen.
