Penalties for Sainz and Magnussen

Carlos Sainz and Kevin Magnussen have both incurred grid penalties for today's race. In both instances, their teams made a late decision to change their gearboxes, and in both cases this was before six consecutive events had expired, a breach of Article 23.6a of the Sporting Regulations. The move means that Sainz will start from 18th - having qualified 13th - whilst Magnussen will start from the pitlane, his team having made a number of suspension set-up changes to his car in parc ferme. The Dane had qualified 21st, just ahead of Renault teammate Jolyon Palmer.
