Hamilton gets replacement front-left tyre

– Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton will be given a new front-left Super Soft tyre for the European Grand Prix at the Baku City Circuit after the FIA gave approval to change the rubber he damaged in qualifying.Hamilton suffered a heavy lock-up and flat-spotted the front tyres he posted his fastest time on in Q2, the set he was supposed to start the race from, but they were seen as potentially dangerous, given the damage.Formula 1's Sporting Regulations outline that damaged tyres may be replaced without penalty.Article 24.4 (g) states: "At the start of the race each car which qualified for Q3 must be fitted with the tyres with which the driver set his fastest time during Q2.
