A good day but not a perfect one – Mercedes Lewis Hamilton was dominant throughout the both free practice session around the new and spectacular Baku street circuit and set top time in FP1 and FP2. Nico Rosberg came closest, but 6 tenths gap among them, and also his session prematurely ended due to technical issues. Lewis Hamilton – FP1: 1:46.435, P1; FP2: 1:44.223, P1 “A good day for me and a nice way to start the weekend. The track isn't easy – not because the layout is particularly difficult to learn but because it's very slippery out there. It's quite Monaco-esque in terms of braking and how close the barriers are – but you're arriving at much higher speeds....
