Second practice ends with Hamilton ahead of Vettel
Just like in the first practice session, Lewis Hamilton proved fastest around the Circuit de Gilles Villeneuve at Montreal. The Mercedes driver was a few tenths faster than Sebastian Vettel who managed to outpace the second Mercedes of Nico Rosberg. After a hectic start to the session, with times quickly improving as drivers fitted ever softer tyres, Hamilton put down the marker when he took on the super softs, relegating Nico Rosberg by a demonstrable margin. As for the men troubled in FP1, Felipe Massa was fortunate to be able to get out immediately as FP2 started. The damage at the rear of his Williams proved less serious than expected, enabling the team to get the car sorted in 2 hours...
