Perez wins Driver of the Day after Monaco podium
Force India's Sergio Perez has been voted by fans as the Driver of the Day for the Monaco Grand Prix. The Force India driver recorded his sixth Formula 1 podium finish, coming home third on the streets of Monaco behind winner Lewis Hamilton and second-placed Daniel Ricciardo. The Mexican started the race from seventh after qualifying eighth, owing to a penalty to Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen, taking advantage of changing conditions to gain four places. Perez joins Romain Grosjean (Australia and Bahrain) , Daniil Kvyat (China), Kevin Magnussen (Russia) and Max Verstappen (Red Bull) on the list of winners of the new award introduced this year.
