McLaren still struggling with high tyre pressures, Boullier admits

McLaren boss Eric Boullier admits that his team is still struggling to deal with the high starting pressures mandated by Pirelli this year. Some teams have got on top of the problem more quickly than others, and are believed to be able lower their pressures after being “legal” when the cars leave the garage, thus gaining a competitive advantage. McLaren recently asked the FIA to clarify what is and isn't allowed in regards to tyre pressures. “I don't know what the other teams are doing to be honest,” said Boullier. “We may have an opinion or some suspicions, but we have to focus on our own problems.
