Wolff laments ‘bizarre situation'

Toto Wolff is hoping that Mercedes have avoid adding a penalty to Lewis Hamilton's Russian GP woes. The British racer qualified down in tenth place for Sunday's Russian GP and faces a potential 10-place grid penalty after a power unit failure in qualifying. News of Hamilton's troubles broke in the break between Q2 and Q3 which meant the World Champion was not able to put in a single lap in the final qualifying segment. It is not the first time that Hamilton has suffered such a fate as Mercedes revealed that Saturday's problem was a 'recurrence of the China Power Unit failure.'
