PICS: Red Bull's Aeroscreen hits the track

Red Bull Racing has given its much discussed 'Aeroscreen' cockpit protection device its first public outing during free practice one for the Russian Grand Prix. The device, developed as an alternative to the controversial 'halo' prepared by Ferrari and favoured by the FIA, was rolled out in the early stages of FP1 in the hands of Daniel Ricciardo. Featuring a more conventional windscreen design that stretches above the driver's head and tapers as its wraps around the side, has been more warmly received in terms of aesthetics, though the FIA has remained sceptical about its effectiveness.
