'A s**t idea', declares Vettel

Once again, an entertaining Grand Prix has taken the (mainstream) media's attention away from the ongoing debacle that is qualifying. Difficult to manage, but Saturday's session was even worse than Melbourne, with teams and drivers now accepting they are to be eliminated and adopting a 'so why bother' attitude to running. Then came the news that the FIA has not only ruled out a return to the old 2015 format but is proposing a system whereby a driver's two best times would be taken and the aggregate would represent his final time, this to happen in all three phases of the session.
