Ricciardo admits reaching Q3 a challenge

Red Bull/Getty Images Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo believes he faces a challenge to reach the final segment of qualifying after Friday's pair of practice sessions at Sakhir. Ricciardo, who finished in fourth place in Australia, placed ninth in the second session in Bahrain. A repeat result on Saturday would leave Ricciardo eliminated in Q2, under the revised qualifying format of eight Q3 contenders. "This morning wasn’t too bad but from the very first lap this afternoon I locked the front into Turn 1 which killed that set of tyres," he rued.
