Ferrari tops pre-season engine token spend
– Ferrari has spent the most power unit development tokens out of Formula 1's engine manufacturers over the winter period, using over two thirds of its allocation in a bid to catch pace-setter Mercedes.For 2016, the sport's four current engine manufacturers – Ferrari, Mercedes, Honda and Renault – have 32 tokens to spend before the end of the season, with all areas of the unit open to development.Formula 1's governing body, the FIA, confirmed the engine token spends to date on Thursday.Ferrari has used 23 tokens, leaving nine for the remainder of the campaign, ahead of Mercedes on 19, Honda on 18 and Renault on seven, which means the French brand has the most to play with.Engine...
