Williams confirms Di Resta as 2016 F1 test driver

©WILLIAMS MARTINI RACING Williams has confirmed that former DTM champion Paul di Resta will serve as its official F1 test driver for the 2016 season. The Scotsman, who took 58 grand prix starts for Force India from 2011-13, is replacing Adrian Sutil in the role. Di Resta will spend extensive time with the British team at races to familiarize himself with the Mercedes-powered FW38. The 29-year-old will also be given some simulator sessions as part of his preparations. “I am delighted to be joining Williams as reserve driver and look forward to the 2016 season,” Di Resta said upon the announcement. “It will be a busy year combining both driving in DTM with Mercedes, and attending the...
