Hamilton wants option on 'halo' device

Triple world champion Lewis Hamilton says the new 'halo' head protection device is "too drastic" and wants to be able to choose whether to use it. The Mercedes driver, 31, has already described it as the "worst-looking" modification in Formula 1 history. "I understand safety is a huge issue and something we have to work towards, but this is not the one," he said. Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel said the device can be as "ugly as possible" as long as it helps save lives.
