Sauber C35 to miss first pre-season test

The Sauber F1 team will not run their new 2016 car, the C35, until the second and final pre-season test. The Australian Grand Prix was brought forward to 20th March, meaning teams have had to review their ramp-up schedules for 2016. Sauber will instead run a modified version of their 2015 car (with 2016 livery) at Barcelona from 22nd – 25th February, with the 2016 car appearing for the first time at the second test at the same track from 1st – 4th March. The pre-season schedule has been cut from three four-day tests to two this year as part of an effort to reduce costs. As a result, the Ferrari-powered C35 will only have four days of mileage under its belt when it arrives in Melbourne...
