Spa Qualifying: Hamilton thumps Rosberg as Ferrari fade
Lewis Hamilton delivered another supreme qualifying performance to the claim top spot start for the Belgian Grand Prix, his tenth pole position of the season, beating Mercedes teammate and main title rival Nico Rosberg by half a second. The Mercedes pair were in another zone altogether, well over a second quicker than their rivals on the soft on the yellow band Pirelli tyres. Hamilton went quicker than Rosberg in both runs in Q3, granted the German made a mistake on his first run but in the second run the world champion put the hammer down and extended his advantage with a stunning best time of 1:47.197. Rosberg had no answer and will start the race from second on the grid yet again....
