Ferrari: Tyres key to pressuring Mercedes in Austria

Scuderia Ferrari The use of the softest compound tyres at this weekend's Austrian Grand Prix can aid Ferrari's pursuit of Mercedes, according to Sebastian Vettel's race engineer. Tyre supplier Pirelli will, for the third successive round, bring its Super Soft and Soft compound for all teams to use and Vettel's race engineer, Riccardo Adami, reckons the squad can use this to its advantage. "While Canada features long straights, with heavy braking points and in effect no fast corners, here, the first two sectors do require some hard braking, whereas the final one has some very fast corners, taken at around 180 km/h in fifth gear," he said.
