McLaren to debut new short nose at Austrian GP

McLaren F1 team will challenge next weekend's Austrian GP with a new short nose, following passing FIA's mandatory crash test. MP4-30 new shorter nose went through the FIA's testing process on Friday and was given the green light by motorsport's governing body. McLaren confirmed the news in a tweet, saying: 'News from MTC: We can confirm that the new MP4-30 nose box has passed the FIA crash test and will be available to use from the Austrian GP.' 'The primary goal for this season is to keep moving forward as we have done,' Neale told Sky Sports. 'We have closed a gap of around 2.5 seconds, we've got two seconds to go, that is a huge way, but we knew it was going to be a difficult weekend...
