FIA to introduce stricter 'flexi-wing' tests in Canada
The FIA is to implement stricter front-wing load tests at the Canadian Grand Prix in a bid to ensure no team is breaking the rules regarding moveable aerodynamic devices. The technical rules are strict when it comes to flexible bodywork, therefore there are multiple checks the FIA can do during pre and post-race scrutineering to ensure teams comply. Article 3.17.8 allows the governing body to "introduce further load/deflection tests on any part of the bodywork which appears to be (or is suspected of), moving whilst the car is in motion".
