Chinese GP: Practice notes - Mercedes

Battle resumes at the Shanghai International Circuit as Mercedes AMG Petronas top the times on the opening day in China. Lewis topped the times in both sessions, with Nico finishing the morning in P2 and the afternoon in P5. The opening session involved aerodynamic and setup evaluation, while the second session focused on long runs. Both drivers used the prime (medium) tyres only during P1, the prime and option (soft) tyres during P2. Lewis Hamilton: Today was definitely an improvement on Friday in Malaysia.
