Pérez gets penalty for gearbox change

– Sergio Pérez has been given a five-place grid penalty for the Brazilian Grand Prix, having been forced into a gearbox change after his qualifying crash. Pérez, who is contesting his final race for McLaren, had initially done enough to out-qualify team-mate Jenson Button in 14th. But his best Q2 time was followed by a heavy crash at Turn 5, forcing mechanics to change his gearbox unit after post-session checks. The Mexican will now start the race from 19th position.
