Alonso tops disrupted first practice

Fernando Alonso set the standard during Friday morning's fog-delayed and shortened opening practice session for the United States Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver, who clocked a time of 1:38.343, led McLaren rival Jenson Button by 28 thousandths of a second, while Williams' Valtteri Bottas completed the top three runners. More to follow.
