Maldonado wants to keep Williams seat

Pastor Maldonado says it is likely that he will retain his Williams seat for the 2014 campaign, despite enduring a troublesome year with the Grove-based outfit. Maldonado, who joined Williams in 2011 and gave the team its first victory in eight years the following campaign, stated recently that he is not content with simply making up the numbers, having failed to register more than a point so far this season. But despite his team's current performance troubles, the Venezuelan has rated as "quite good" his chances of remaining onboard for what would be a fourth term.
