Domenicali: We considered Hulkenberg
Stefano Domenicali has admitted that Nico Hulkenberg was in the running for a drive with Ferrari for 2014 before the team eventually elected to re-sign Kimi Raikkonen.Having taken the decision to replace Felipe Massa, Ferrari looked into the options available when it came to finding a new partner for Fernando Alonso, with Hulkenberg being widely mentioned as one option to partner the Spaniard.Speaking to Sport Bild, Domenicali revealed that serious consideration had gone into whether or not to go for Hulkenberg, with the team boss refusing to rule out the possibility of a move in future.“He [Hulkenberg] was one of the candidates and we thought long and hard about it,” he said....
