Tilke 'sure' Russian GP will go ahead

Track designer Hermann Tilke is confident that the Russian GP will take place next season despite missing the deadline to apply for a place on the calendar. Work is continue at the Sochi International Street Circuit, which has been designed by Tilke. However, behind the scenes there were concerns last week when it emerged that the Russian Automobile Federation has missed the deadline to apply for a place on next year's calendar. The grand prix, though, could be granted an exception with Tilke adamant it will take place.
