Drivers threaten boycott over tyre failures

"true">Formula 1 drivers have threatened to boycott the German Grand Prix, should there be a repeat of the tyre blow-outs suffered at Silverstone. The decision comes following a meeting of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GPDA) at the Nürburgring. In the wake of last weekend's events, Pirelli has been forced into a safety-based change, introducing the Kevlar-belted rubber teams tested in Canada. A new range, merging 2012 structures with 2013 compounds, will then be introduced in Hungary.
