Button, Perez positive despite lack of pace

By Phillip Horton on Thursday, May 23, 2013 Jenson Button and Sergio Perez insist they are encouraged despite McLaren's comparative lack of pace during practice for the Monaco Grand Prix. Button was eighth quickest in both sessions and is optimistic regarding the long run pace of the MP4-28. 'Our pace on a long run looks surprisingly good, although we’re not quite there with our qualifying pace yet. Still, I feel happier with the car here than I have the past few weekends. There are some areas in which we’ve struggled before that now seem a little bit better, and that’s obviously positive,' he said.
