Mexico City GP: Hamilton powers to first pole with Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton delivered a landmark result for Ferrari by claiming pole position for the Mexico City Grand Prix, edging Mercedes' George Russell by a breathtaking 0.009s in a thrilling qualifying shootout at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. The seven-time world champion produced a blistering final lap to secure the Scuderia's first pole of the 2026 season and, more significantly, his maiden pole position since joining the Italian outfit.
