Cadillac sets date for major F1 engine milestone

Cadillac is putting the building blocks of its Formula 1 future firmly in place, with General Motors preparing to open its dedicated power unit facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, on December 18. The milestone marks a significant step in the American manufacturer’s ambition to become a fully fledged F1 constructor, developing its own engines after initially entering the championship as a customer of Ferrari. GM received FIA approval to become a power unit supplier from 2029, giving the company a couple of years to complete its development programme before its homegrown...
