F1: FIA acts on potential budget cap loophole
Having clearly been reading Max Nobles's warnings from a couple of years back, the FIA is taking drastic action to close potential loopholes in the budget cap regulations. In essence, the raft of draconian new rules are aimed at preventing non-F1 staff working on F1 projects, whereby their cost might not be included in what the team declares when it submits its spending to the authorities. With some teams involved in WEC, Formula E and even Cycling and Sailing such things are possible, indeed with Red Bull, Mercedes and Aston Martin having established the likes of Advanced Technologies, Applied Science and Performance Technologies such things may have even been considered.
