Hamilton’s Ferrari relationship hit by trust concerns

Lewis Hamilton’s growing willingness to overrule Ferrari’s strategists is raising uncomfortable questions about the trust underpinning the partnership, with former F1 strategist Bernie Collins identifying a worrying pattern following the Singapore Grand Prix. The seven-time world champion finished sixth at Marina Bay after rejecting an opportunity to pit under the virtual safety car on lap 40, when Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll stopped with a clutch problem.
