Max Verstappen produced a blistering final lap to snatch pole for Saturday's Sprint event at the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix, denying Ferrari and McLaren a front-row lockout as George Russell delivered a late charge to secure second. The Red Bull driver clocked a 1m31.156s in the closing moments of SQ3 to beat Russell and claim his first qualifying-session triumph at Marina Bay, although he faces a post-session investigation over an alleged yellow-flag infringement.
