F1 expands Sprints as 2027 calendar confirmed

Sep.17 Formula 1 and the FIA have officially confirmed the 2027 calendar, with 24 Grands Prix, the returns of Portugal and Turkey and an expanded program of ten Sprint events. The season will begin in Bahrain after pre-season testing there from February 24-27, followed by Saudi Arabia, before moving through Australia, Japan and China. Portugal returns in June, while Turkey rejoins the calendar in October between Azerbaijan and Singapore. The final two rounds remain Qatar and Abu Dhabi despite continuing uncertainty surrounding the Middle East. One of the more unusual changes is Monaco becoming a Sprint event for the first time.
