What led to Aston Martin's woeful qualifying session in Madrid?
Aston Martin endured a deeply frustrating qualifying session for the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid, with Fernando Alonso eliminated in Q1 and Lance Stroll failing to set a time after suffering another technical problem. The team’s problems began before qualifying had even started. Aston Martin broke the FIA curfew after detecting an issue with Stroll’s battery pack, prompting the team to replace several power unit components on his car.
