Leclerc takes responsibility for Hamilton clash: ‘I went too far’

Charles Leclerc has drawn a line under Ferrari’s latest intra-team flash point, admitting that he “went too far” when forcing Lewis Hamilton onto the gravel during their opening-lap battle at Monza. The Ferrari teammates arrived at their home race under intense scrutiny, and their wheel-to-wheel encounter through the opening chicane only added fuel to the fire. Running side by side, Leclerc held his line through Turn 2 and took the conventional exit, leaving Hamilton with nowhere to go but off the track.
