Leclerc could miss Madrid GP after heavy Monza crash
F1 Grand Prix, GP Italy, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc could be a doubt for next weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid after suffering a heavy crash during the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Leclerc lost control of his Ferrari SF-26 at high speed through the Parabolica at the end of the second lap. The Monegasque was unable to recover the car before hitting the barriers heavily, bringing the race to a halt and prompting a red flag. Following the accident, Leclerc was taken to the Monza medical centre for precautionary checks. He was subsequently released after doctors found no immediate injuries.
