F1: Italian Grand Prix: Qualifying team notes - McLaren
McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team will start Sunday's 2026 Italian Grand Prix with Oscar Piastri sixth, following a three-place grid penalty, and Lando Norris ninth after a challenging Qualifying session at Monza, where the team was unable to maximise the full potential of the MCL40. After strong execution from both drivers through Q1 and Q2, the final runs in Q3 did not come together as cleanly, resulting in both drivers being unable to improve their respective times. The team will now turn its attention to maximising all opportunities in Sunday's Grand Prix. Ahead of this afternoon's Qualifying, the team's preparations throughout Free Practice 3 saw Lando finish fifth and Oscar eighth....
