Hamilton slams ‘pretty bad’ Ferrari execution in Monza qualifying

Lewis Hamilton has once again been left to rue Ferrari’s execution after a frustrating qualifying session at Monza, with the seven-time world champion admitting that a disjointed Q3 left him fighting for position rather than pole. Hamilton entered qualifying with genuine optimism after Ferrari had shown encouraging pace in final practice. Yet the Italian outfit’s hopes of delivering a memorable home pole quickly became tangled in traffic, timing and tyre preparation, leaving Hamilton perilously close to a Q2 elimination, and ultimately fifth at the end of Q3.
