What do the telemetry numbers reveal about Ferrari's engine upgrade?
Ferrari has been encouraged by the early performance of its latest Formula 1 power unit upgrade at Monza, although the Scuderia remains behind Mercedes in straight-line performance. The new engine specification was introduced for this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix as Ferrari continues to make use of the additional development opportunities available under the FIA’s Additional Development and Upgrade Opportunities (ADUO) regulations. Ferrari was granted two upgrade opportunities after its internal combustion engine was measured to be more than four per cent behind the benchmark power unit.
