Leclerc says 'powerful upgrades' will decide F1 title race

Ferrari may still have plenty of work to do if it is to overhaul Mercedes in the 2026 Formula 1 championship, but Charles Leclerc believes the battle is far from decided. With 87 points separating the Scuderia from the Silver Arrows in the Constructors’ standings, the Monegasque driver sees one factor above all others capable of turning the title fight on its head: development. Leclerc is refusing to spend too much time worrying about Ferrari’s current deficit, instead placing his faith in the enormous influence that upgrades can have under the latest generation of regulations.
