F1: Pirelli concludes Mugello test
McLaren, Red Bull and Audi carry out two-day test of 2027 tyres at Mugello. On Wednesday, at the track that hosted the Gran Premio della Toscana in 2020, Liam Lawson was at the wheel of the Red Bull and Oscar Piastri the McLaren as they tested the three hardest compounds in the range. Lawson focused on the C2, completing a series of eight-lap screening runs on different solutions before moving on in the afternoon to longer stints aimed at validating the most promising options. Piastri, meanwhile, tested all three compounds, from C1 to C3, with short stints before ending the day with a couple of 14-lap runs.
