F1: New Honda engine makes track debut
Aston Martin uses a filming day to run the new engine from Honda which will make its race debut at Zandvoort. The new engine, which comes days after the team's much anticipated upgrade to its car, was run by Jak Crawford, while Audi and Alpine continued with tyre testing for Pirelli. There is no official word on how things went, though there is speculation that it is a significant improvement, with Crawford reporting no vibrations. Speaking at the weekend, ahead of the engine's debut, which came on Fernando Alonso's 45th birthday, Honda's Trackside General Manager and Chief Engineer, Shintaro Orihara had made clear the importance of the first outing.
