Russell still baffled by ‘infuriating’ straight-line speed deficit

Once again, George Russell was left searching for answers after another frustrating qualifying session exposed what he believes is a serious Mercedes straight-line speed problem. The Briton secured fourth on the grid at Spa-Francorchamps, but the result came with a sense of disappointment rather than satisfaction. Russell finished almost half a second behind Mercedes teammate Kimi Antonelli, with the majority of that deficit coming during the circuit’s long flat-out sections.
