Permane declares Tsolov ‘next in line’ for F1 promotion

Racing Bulls team boss Alan Permane has declared Red Bull junior Nikolas Tsolov "next in line" for a promotion to Formula 1, offering the clearest indication yet that the FIA Formula 2 Championship leader is at the front of the team's succession plans. The 19-year-old Bulgarian has enjoyed a breakout campaign in Formula 2, turning consistent speed into championship momentum.
